DeviantART Compliments is a project that gives deviants of all kinds, compliments. It was a a simple idea that exploded for the creator of deviantART compliments SimplySilent (https://www.deviantart.com/simplysilent). I got the chance to interview SimplySilent (https://www.deviantart.com/simplysilent) about her project, and what it is like to start a project.
First of all tell us a bit about yourself? how long have you been apart of the deviantART community?
I joined at the beginning of 2012, so I've been on dA for a little over a year and a half now. I'd have to say that I've only been a part of the community for about a year though, since I didn't do all that much in the first few months that I was on dA. I th

So you have a community project. You think it is a really good project, but people seem to not care for it. But wait... what if they just don't know about it?
Step 1 - WRITE A JOURNAL ABOUT YOUR PROJECT
You can also use other ways to describe your project - in the comments section of a deviation, in a profile widget or gallery description, but a journal is usually the most effective way to get the word out. Write it in sta.sh, even if it's a group journal (we will get to this later). Explain clearly and concisely the main idea and goals of your project, then elaborate on the details if needed.
Step 2 - POST THE JOURN
Contest Pointers
Contests are everywhere on deviantART, and it seems like there are dozens of new ones cropping up every few weeks. While some of these contests go on to become extremely popular and successful, racking up hundreds of points in prizes and gaining a remarkable number of entries (:dummy:), some of them flop, flounder, and sadly disappear into obscurity (:saddummy:)
So how does one go about hosting a successful contest? There's no fool-proof, super secret formula, of course, but there are some general tips and guidelines for what you can keep in mind when planning a new contest.
Theme
Every contest has a theme, which can range
Funding Your Project
Have a project in mind, but not sure about where you’ll be able to gather the funds? Funding is often the most difficult aspect of running a project, but with the correct planning, organization, and fundraising, you can make any project a success!
Promotion
Not every deviant has the financial capacity to assist your project, but every deviant can contribute by helping you promote your project. After all, even if these certain individuals cannot be able to donate, they may be able to find you the people who can. In your project announcement journals, make sure to emphasize that anyone can help by:

Project Educate is one of the more successful projects out there and also the reason you are reading this journal so we could not overlook the group when we decided to interview people about the projects they had started or were involved with. Kaz-D (https://www.deviantart.com/kaz-d) and KovoWolf (https://www.deviantart.com/kovowolf) kindly agreed to answer my questions :)
Could you please introduce yourself and project educate to us?
I'm Kaz-D (https://www.deviantart.com/kaz-d) and I'm one of the team leads for projecteducate (https://www.deviantart.com/projecteducate) - The group is run primarily by community volunteers and other members of the dA community to educate people on various different art topics. Hello! My name is Amber, or more commonly known as :devkovowol

Could you please introduce yourself and Project Comment to us?
I'll start with introducing ProjectComment (https://www.deviantart.com/projectcomment) as that is easier for me. :D
ProjectComment (https://www.deviantart.com/projectcomment) is a group of many projects centred on giving and receiving constructive comments. We offer members of deviantART a lot of opportunities to get comments, give comments, participate in comment projects, win points, get featured and much, much more.
As for myself, I'm just a member on deviantART much like yourself, currently volunteering for the General Photography Gallery as well as the Chats

Sometimes it happens that someone launches a Community Project and as things progress the project simply doesn't seem to be doing well. Today I'd like to discuss ways you can work at turing your project around and making it a success.
I imagine everyone has been paying close attention to the articles we've been posting this week for our Community Projects projecteducate (https://www.deviantart.com/projecteducate) week, but in case you've missed any let me recap those that will benefit you the most if you are struggling with moving your project forward.

Defining Community Projects
Today we are going to take a look at what exactly a Community Project is and hopefully dispell some misconceptions about them. Our group CRCommunityProjects (https://www.deviantart.com/crcommunityprojects) has a great blurb explaining what Community Projects are that I'd like to quote here:
A community project is a project or contest that is designed by community members to promote a positive, supportive environment here on deviantART. Community projects build community spirit and help all of us to grow as artists and as individuals. They have specific goals and serve to bring people together. These projects are supportive of artists and of artistic growt
